TV3 has confirmed its status as the channel of note for the 2015 Rugby World Cup coverage in Ireland. TV3 are set to broadcast all 48 matches of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, beginning with the hosts England taking on Fiji on September 18 and ending with the final at Twickenham on October 31.
Among the team of expert commentators and analysts announced is Director, W2 Consulting and Irish rugby legend Keith Wood. BBC Sports commentator and MC for the European Sport Tourism Summit 2015, Conor McNamara will also form part of the TV3 commentary team.
Keith and Conor will be joined by ex-international and Munster scrum half Peter Stringer, ex-England and Lions player Stuart Barnes, English World Cup-winning flanker Neil Back and the legendary Irish international Hugo MacNeill. The retired Leinster flanker Shane Jennings, Liam Toland, Murray Kinsella, Matt Cooper and Sinead Kissane will also deliver on the broadcaster’s presentation team.
Ireland’s campaign for glory starts on September 19 against Canada in the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff followed by Pool D matches against Romania, Italy and France.
