Mark is responsible for the research and strategic planning services for W2 Consulting.  He has over 20 years’ experience delivering senior level research and insights programmes, strategic planning, feasibility studies and independent reviews.

He works across a wide variety of sectors with a specialist focus in the sport and tourism industries.  He is regularly retained to conduct independent reviews and impact studies for a range of industries.  He continues to work with sports bodies, tourism organisations and private sector companies providing strategic planning and research services.

Mark has created a number of innovative research and impact measurement techniques generating bespoke national reports on sports participation, coaching impact, economic impact of tourism and the national sport tourism monitor. Mark also manages the firm’s delivery of strategic evaluation projects, marketing planning, brand activation and project implementation.

Prior to establishing W2 Consulting, Mark was Consulting and Marketing Director for BDO and Focus Consulting for ten years. Mark is a past winner of a National Marketing Award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing for Marketing Innovation.  He has been an external advisor to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in UL and LIT.  He holds a BSc (Econ), MSc and MBA. He has undertaken additional professional training in advanced qualitative research techniques and Social Return on Investment analysis.
