The promotion of Tipperary for domestic and international investment will be reenergised when a new not-for-profit entity, Invest Tipperary, was formally launched in Thurles.
Invest Tipperary is a coming together of business representatives from across the county who will oversee the creation of key marketing assets – from a dynamic website to brochure – and help promote the county for investment.
The launch, held at LIT Tipperary campus on Monday 26th January saw the publication of a W2 Consulting report that will identify key locations around the county that are ‘site-ready’ for investment. The next steps following the launch of the entity and publication of the report will be the creation of a website and other marketing materials and engaging a digital media programme to promote the county.
Chaired by Bank of Ireland Mid-West Area Manager Liam Sheedy, the board of Invest Tipperary also includes well-known businesspeople and stakeholders from the county such as former Irish ambassador to China and Singapore Joe Hayes; Tipp and Clare FM Chairman Liam O’Shea; BDO director Dermot Gleeson; Clonmel based financial investments specialist Frances O’Hanlon; Tipperary town pharmacist Shane Kelly; SuperValu, Roscrea owner Brian Colclough; Bridge Public Relations owner and Ballywilliam, Nenagh man Eugene Hogan; Clonmel butcher and champion of the Tipperary Food Producers’ Network Pat Whelan.
